Pay dog registration, transfer ownership or update personal details online
To pay your dog's registration or to register a new dog online, you need to be an existing customer of Tauranga City Council. Your customer number can be found on your dog registration form, rates bill or water bill.
If you want to register a disability assist dog or services dog for the first time please call 07 5777 000, this cannot be done online. Tauranga City does not have a special category for working dogs, they must be registered the same as any other dog.
Update your owner details
You can update your owner details at any time, if you are going to register your dog online then please update your details first. Follow the instructions below.
Online payment options
POLi internet banking – pay straight from your bank account, with no surcharge.
Visa/Mastercard debit or credit card – if you choose to pay by debit or credit card a surcharge of 1.3% is payable.
Registration tags
Once your payment has been processed, a registration tag will be posted to you. If you have not received a tag within 10 working days of your payment please contact council.
